Please join us for the year-end social event of the International Development Policy (IDEV) and International Security and Economic Policy (ISEP) specializations.
The event is being held in conjunction with a poster session for the section of the Master of Public Policy capstone course that focuses on projects about topics related to international development and/or international security. The participating students will present their policy analytical research conducted with an assortment of clients, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and multiple non-governmental organizations and UMD scholars. Several students participated in the new DoD Academic Capstone Mentorship Initiative organized in partnership with UMD SPP. Additional students conducted data collection through on-the-ground fieldwork in Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, and Taiwan, while another student brought fieldwork to UMD SPP through civil society activists visiting from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. SPP and CISSM were primary sponsors of these fieldwork activities and are sponsoring this event and poster session as well.
