Please join us for SPP's GAO Day on Monday, October 24, from 10 am to 4 pm, with the U.S. Government Accountability Office's representatives and a cohort of SPP alumni! This  is a unique opportunity to learn about the incredible jobs and internship programs offered by the GAO, and talk with SPP alumni who currently work there about their experiences. Come learn how they advise Congress, why they are rated the best place to work in the federal government, and tips on how to apply.

Are you interested in working for the federal government? Passionate about making our government more accountable to its citizens? Often called the “congressional watchdog,” GAO is an independent, nonpartisan agency that advises Congress on ways to make government more efficient, effective, ethical, equitable, and responsive. They are currently offering paid internships with the potential to turn into full-time positions for graduate and undergraduate students. Check out their current open and upcoming positions – https://www.gao.gov/about/careers

By registering for a Career Services event, your attendance is expected – barring extreme circumstances. If you register for an event and fail to attend without prior notice, your access to Career Service events WILL be suspended pending a meeting with the Career Services Director, Bryan Kempton.

If you have any questions about these events or our attendance policy, don’t hesitate to contact us at scampb93@umd.edu or bkempton@umd.edu.
