A native of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Nancy Lineman is an associate general counsel II for WSSC Water, one of the largest water and sewer agencies in the nation, serving nearly two million customers in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties. She handles litigation and employment matters for WSSC.
After graduating from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2011, Lineman served as an assistant state’s attorney in Prince George’s County. Prior to law school, Lineman was a communications director for various state and local government agencies and elected officials, including the lt. governor of Maryland and the speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates.
Since 2019, Lineman has been an adjunct lecturer at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy where she teaches a course on leadership and public policy to undergraduates and tries to coax them into pursuing careers in the public sector. She is a trustee for the Maryland School for the Deaf and a member of the board of directors for the Maryland Coalition Against
Sexual Assault.
Lineman lives in Silver Spring with her spouse (Delegate Anne Kaiser), her five-year-old daughter (Allison Joan, “AJ”), dog (Sammy) and two cats (Joe and Ruby). She spends many weekends in the municipality of Havre de Grace, enjoys boating and engaging in water sports on the Susquehanna River, and loves live music.
