Post Doctoral Associate
Stephanie Ureña is a postdoctoral research associate working with Professor Katrina Walsemann, Roger C. Lipitz Distinguished Chair in Health Policy. She is also a faculty affiliate of the Maryland Population Research Center (MPRC). Her research examines how social factors shape population health and well-being, with an emphasis on aging, life course processes, health disparities and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. A special focus of her research is on the implications of military service for the long-term health of U.S. veterans, for which she has received federal funding from the National Institute on Aging.
