Stephanie Vo is the Maryland program coordinator at the UMD School of Public Policy and Center for Global Sustainability. She provides coordination and research support for projects related to Maryland's climate goals as part of the collaboration between CGS and the Maryland Department of the Environment.
With a bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in sustainable development from Leipzig University, her prior work in academia and at nonprofit organizations has centered around fostering integrated sustainable societies and has touched on urban resilience, climate finance, international development, social equity, and nature restoration in the US and abroad. As an enthusiastic generalist, she thrives within nexuses and is always looking for connections, knowing that is where we'll best tackle our global environmental challenges. When not at work, you can find her bouldering/climbing, experimenting with food, reading a good book, or walking around to pet all the neighborhood cats.
